Dakshayani Madangopal is the CEO, Don Bosco Research Centre, Matunga, Mumbai. Having done her MA in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and a Certificate course in Research Methodology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, she joined the Don Bosco Research Centre in 2001, coordinating international projects on marginalized adolescents, street boys, displaced youth and youth culture. She has been involved in the compilation and writing of all 17 publications to date of the Don Bosco Research Centre, Mumbai.
In addition, she has written research papers and articles on substance abuse, street children, education, homeless, development induced displacement, pastoral care, child rights, social integration, community development, drug policies, financial inclusion, digital inclusion, savings behaviour and skill training, besides representing the organization in national and international platforms. Since 2012, she has been editing ‘Prabodhan’- a quarterly periodical on advocacy and rights issues of the Don Bosco Research Centre.
