Puthur Mathai Thomas, born in 1934, is a Salesian Brother. He has been a Principal for 25 years in different Don Bosco Schools and Junior Colleges out of his teaching experience of 40 years when he lived and practised the Don Bosco Method of Education as a Salesian of Don Bosco. Highly qualified with an M.A, M.ED., Dip. V.G., and a Ph.D he pioneered several Don Bosco Schools and Colleges. For a decade, he headed the Commission for Education and Culture in the Don Bosco Mumbai Province. His earlier writings include a research on the “Presence of teachers and their relationship with the students.”
