Teresio Bosco, born in 1931, is a Salesian priest, a professor of literature and a journalist and native of Asti, the region from which Don Bosco himself comes. He has dedicated a good part of his life studying and writing about Don Bosco and his work. His book Don Bosco, a New Biography, has reached 100,000 copies in Italy and has been translated into 34 languages (including Chinese and Arabic). He has researched and written much on Dominic Savio the beloved pupil of Don Bosco. At the moment the biography has been translated into 10 languages. He was for some years editor of the Bollettino Salesiano, the official magazine of the Salesian Family, founded by Don Bosco himself.
